Temperature Tom ("we," "our," "us") is an HVAC lead generation service operating in New Jersey. We connect homeowners who need HVAC services with licensed local contractors. Our website is temperaturetom.com and we can be reached at tom@temperaturetom.com or (640) 500-2515.
From Homeowners: Name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, type of HVAC service needed, urgency level, and a description of your issue. We also collect IP address and general device information for security purposes.
From Contractors: Business name, contact name, email address, phone number, service area (county and ZIP codes), payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your full card number), and account activity.
Program Name: Temperature Tom HVAC Service Alerts
By submitting our homeowner form and checking the consent box, you expressly consent to receive autodialed or pre-recorded calls and text messages from Temperature Tom and its partner contractors at the phone number you provided, for the purpose of discussing your HVAC service request. You are not required to consent as a condition of any purchase. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Message Frequency: Message frequency varies. Homeowners typically receive 1–5 messages per service request (confirmation, follow-up, completion check, and review request). Contractors typically receive 1–10 messages per week depending on lead volume (lead alerts, reminders, and account notifications).
Message & Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-Out: To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive a one-time confirmation message. Even if you opt out of SMS, we may still send transactional emails related to your account.

No Sharing of Mobile Information: We will never sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or any mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is only shared with the assigned HVAC contractor for the sole purpose of fulfilling your service request. No mobile information collected as part of the SMS consent process will be shared with any third party.
With Contractors: When a homeowner submits a lead, we share their name, phone number, email, ZIP code, and service description with the assigned contractor so they can reach out.
Service Providers: We use Supabase (database), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), and Twilio (SMS). These providers receive data only as necessary to perform their services.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share leads with more than one contractor. Each lead is exclusive. No mobile information collected through our SMS consent process is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We retain homeowner lead data for up to 2 years for quality assurance and dispute resolution. Contractor account data is retained for the duration of the account plus 2 years. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing tom@temperaturetom.com.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, email us at tom@temperaturetom.com. New Jersey residents may have additional rights under the New Jersey Privacy Act.
